Sinking Sophie

Most of my photography revolves around portraits and landscapes so shooting a food editorial was a little bit out of my comfort zone but I was happy to take up the offer none the less.

I photographed some chocolate desserts for a collaborative food magazine created by my university. I had the pleasure of styling and capturing a plate of chocolate biscuits as well as a chocolate gateau cake. All images were then retouched until the were print ready!

I'm happy to say that I've recently started shooting with film a lot more again. My poor camera had a lapse in use but I'm thrilled to be creating with that authentic process once again.

I live in the mountains and so a fair amount of mornings even during Summer prove to be quite foggy when I look out the window. I decided to capture some shots on these mornings. I recently got my last roll of film developed and these were some of the images produced.

All of these images were taken whilst standing on my back deck.

All of these images were taken on my Canon 3000n using ilford FP4. I love the entire process of shooting with film and if funds allow I'll be doing it a whole lot more in the future.

I'm also back at university now after a long break and I can't wait to share all my upcoming projects with you guys!

A few weeks ago I decided to dress my beautiful friend Bec in some of my clothes and take some fashion style shots of her. She's absolutely stunning and taking photos of her is always heaps of fun. It was pretty relaxed as I was merely using my camera, portrait lens and purely natural afternoon sunlight. The images were taken just pre golden hour and I found the lighting to illuminate her flawlessly.

Last week I was absolutely delighted to be greeted by a little parcel in my mail box filled with wonderful pieces from ThePeachBox.
